Frequently Asked Questions

Kortilink is a professional link shortening platform built for content creators, marketers and anyone who shares links online. Beyond shortening long URLs, Kortilink offers:

• Customisable Bio Pages (link in bio)
• Real-time analytics with click, country, device and source data
• Automatic QR codes for every link
• Built-in UTM Builder for marketing campaigns
• Password-protected links and A/B testing of destinations

All in one place, with no need for several tools.

It is very simple. Paste your long link into the box on the home page and click "Shorten". Kortilink automatically generates a short link in the format kortilink.com/xxxxx that you can share anywhere.

When someone clicks your shortened link, they are redirected instantly to the original destination — and we record the click in your analytics. You can shorten any valid URL starting with https:// or http://.

Without an account you can shorten up to 10 links a day. For history, analytics and advanced features, just create a free account.

Yes, the Free plan includes:

• 15 links per month
• Basic analytics with 7 days of history
• Bio Page included (1 page, up to 5 links)
• Basic QR codes

What is not included in the free plan:

• Advanced analytics with full history
• A/B testing of destinations
• Password-protected links
• Custom domain
• Advanced Bio Page themes

To unlock everything without limits, consider the Pro plan at €4.99/month.

You do not need an account to shorten up to 10 links a day straight from the home page — try it with no strings attached.

However, to keep the history of your links, access analytics, create a Bio Page and manage everything from the dashboard, you need to create a free account. Signing up is quick and needs no credit card.

No. Links created with an active Kortilink account are permanent and do not expire while your account is active.

Links created without an account (on the home page) stay active for a limited period. To make sure your links live forever, we recommend you create a free account.

The Pro plan costs €4.99 per month, billed monthly. There is no lock-in contract — you can cancel whenever you want, with no penalties.

Pro includes everything in Free, plus:

• Unlimited links
• Advanced analytics with full history
• Bio Page Pro with premium themes
• Custom QR codes with your logo
• A/B testing of destinations
• Password-protected links
• Custom domain
• Priority support

Yes! We offer a free trial period for new users, with no need to enter payment details up front. You can test every Pro feature with no commitment.

See the pricing page for the current trial terms, or create your account to start right away.

Billing is monthly or yearly and automatic. At the moment we accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).

All payments are processed by Stripe, and you receive a receipt by email after each charge.

Yes, absolutely. You can cancel your Pro plan at any time, with no penalties. Just go to your Dashboard → Account → Subscription and click "Cancel subscription".

After cancelling, you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, the account automatically returns to the Free plan — your links and data are preserved.

You lose nothing. If you cancel Pro:

• All your links stay active and working, password-protected ones included
• Your analytics history is kept (but you only see the last 7 days on the Free plan)
• Your Bio Page stays online on the Free plan, with the theme you chose
• Your custom domain stops answering — visitors are sent to your kortilink.com address

You can always reactivate Pro to get full access back.

The Bio Page is a personal page that gathers all your links under a single URL — the so-called "link in bio". It is perfect for the bio on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter/X or any social network that allows only one link.

On Kortilink your URL lives at kortilink.com/yourname. You can customise:

• Profile picture and name
• Description / bio
• As many links as you want, with icons and titles
• Visual theme (colours, background — on the Pro plan)

And you also get analytics for each individual link on your Bio Page.

Yes! The basic Bio Page is included in the Free plan at no extra cost. You can create your page with a photo, bio and up to 5 links on the Bio Page (unlimited on Pro).

With the Pro plan you get extra features such as premium themes, advanced colour customisation and your page without Kortilink branding.

Yes, you can connect your own domain or subdomain to your Bio Page — for example links.yoursite.com. This feature is available on the Pro plan.

The process is simple: in the dashboard go to Bio Page → Settings → Custom Domain and enter your domain. Then set a CNAME record in your DNS manager pointing to Kortilink.

In your Dashboard, go to Bio Page → Analytics. There you can see:

• Total Bio Page views
• Clicks per individual link (click rate of each button)
• Country and device of your visitors
• Evolution over time

On the Free plan you get the last 7 days. On Pro, the full history since day one.

Kortilink tracking works at server level — when someone clicks your link, our server records the click before redirecting to the destination. This means the data is far more reliable than JavaScript-based solutions (which ad blockers block).

For each click we record:

• Exact date and time
• Country (derived from the IP address)
• Device type (mobile, desktop, tablet)
• Browser and operating system
• Traffic source (referrer)

Clicks from known bots and crawlers are filtered automatically so they do not distort your data.

It was designed for that, and this is how it handles clicks:

• We store the IP address of each click to count unique visitors and detect abuse. The country is derived from it
• We do not set tracking cookies on shortened links
• Location is approximate (country), never precise

See our Privacy Policy and our GDPR page to learn who processes the data and how to exercise your rights.

Our goal is to keep Kortilink available 99.9% of the time, but this is not a contractual guarantee.

For scheduled maintenance, we let you know in advance by email.
